Is the chevy prism the same as the toyota corolla?

Default Is the chevy prism the same as the toyota corolla?
They seem very similar....I'm looking at some from 2000-2002















I need a new (used) car































Anything about them I should know?































Are they as reliable as the corolla?

Yes, they are. The Geo/Chevrolet Prizm is pretty much the same vehicle. They were built with the Toyota Corolla at the NUMMI plant in Fremont California. This was a joint venture between Toyota an GM. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NUMMI

For the most part they are the same vehicle. There are some differences. You will find that the Geo used older technology than the same year Toyota.

yes,toyota makes the prizm for GM.The Prizm has the same engine and everything.The only difference is cosmetic.

You mean a Geo Prism?? Yes, they are very much alike. I would go with the Toyota, YOU CAN'T GO WRONG WITH THE COROLLA

Like everyone else said, they are essentially the same car wqith different styling. However, take into consideration that the Corolla outsold the Prism 4 to 1, so it also has a higher resale value than the Prism.
