Well to put it simply, the AE82 is FWD (front wheel drive) and the AE86 is RWD (rear wheel drive).
The ae82 is heavier then the 86, but it will have around about the same power output (same motor)...
I can only base my assumption on statistics, I have not driven a ae86, but I can only guess that it will be a little more quicker get-up-and-go, and being RWD and enough throttle it will want to flick its rear around the corners (light rear too)
