The big key is to find a reputable installer. I sold Toyotas for 4 years and we had a local installer that was certified by Toyota and his aftermarket sunroofs never had a problem. Check with your local dealer to see if they have someone they use.
In response to the person who said he never had a positive response on aftermarket roofs most of the sunroofs sold in the 5 southern states(GA, AL SC, NC & FL) are not factory installed. All cars sold in these states are routed through Southeast Toyota based in Deerfield Beach, FL who has an exclusive agreement with Toyota for these states. He has a tremendous facility and adds many modifications which are considered almost standard in these states but are not as widely embraced in the rest of the country. These include roofs, rims, tires, window tint, special lighting packages, etc.
