Why is the new XRS weaker than the 9th generation Corolla XRS?

Default Why is the new XRS weaker than the 9th generation Corolla XRS?
And its 2.4L and only 158HP































the older XRS produced 164-horsepower with a 1.8-liter engine

i guess they ran out of the 2zz motor then. lol















you won't be able to tell the difference in power. its only 6 hp more. but then the 9th gen can rev higher and have lift. the 10th gen has more torque but it is about 300lbs heavier than the 9th gen.
