great first car. it's economical and stylish. go to edmunds.com and read the reviews that people have posted. that will give you a good idea of anything that people don't like about it.

yeah its really good. I drove it before too. Its big, roomy for both passengers and driver, has a good crash test rating, and its reliable. It is also fuel effiecient and as you should know, toyota goes for over 250,000 miles and will almost never give you a problem. My uncle has a 04 toyota camry and it has 165,000 miles as of last month and he told me that he never took it to the shop besides for minor things such as brakes, timing belt, ect

I would say yes the camry is a good first car. Toyota likes to brag that 90% of camrys made since the early 90s are still on the road. I actually drive the camrys sister the corolla. it now has almost 227000km on it and I have never had to take it to the shop since i owned it. I have put 40,000km on it by the way. So I believe that your car will be very reliable and cost you little on maintence.
