I believe that's a chain and it's not normal maintenence to replace it...

That's a pretty involved process. And - the 2007 Corolla does not have a timing belt, it uses a timing chain. If this chain has broken (unlikely), you have a very expensive problem. You may mean the accessory drive belt? The one that drives the power steering, Alternator, Air conditioning, etc? this is on the outside of the engine and is easier and inexpensive to to replace. Get a shop to do it.

If you need to ask, you can't do it yourself. Shops sometimes have specials to replace them, maybe $200. If it's the serpentine belt, the rubber one you can see, it's just $30. Loosen the belt tensioner pulley and slip the belt off. It may be in your manual.
