Your best option if you aren't able to rebuild it yourself is to install a re-manufactured engine from an engine company that provides a nation wide warranty. Four years ago I had a Jasper re-manufactured 22REC engine installed in my 1986 Toyota truck for $2,000 engine and $1000 labor. It came with a 3 year/75,000 mile warranty. It still runs as smooth and quiet like the original engine and gets the same mileage.
Jasper has a web site were you can get engine prices and there are authorized installers every where
If you bought that Corolla new and changed the oil on a regular basis, then you should get another 100,000 miles out that engine easily. If it has a timing belt, and not chain, then make sure you get that changed on schedule, probably every 60,000 to 75,000 miles. A chain will last as long a the rest of the engine.
