You say "no power to the ignition". have you confirmed that that there is no voltage getting to the hot terminal of the key switch?
sometimes if it is intermittent start it can be burned contacts in the ign key switch itself - but the switch has power to it. it just doesn't make the circuit to the starter every time. if there is no voltage getting to the switch you have to trace wires, fuses, and connections to the switch.
diligent work with a volt meter should discover the problem.
