The Supra will require the highest octane you can get,I have owned a good few Japanese imports and use the highest octane i can,my lesson was learnt when i once used a low octane fuel and the car went crazy and it needed repairs and to fix the damage which was done,my bro also tried this with his Japansese turboed car and it caused damage to his car also.
Some cars will run for a long time on a low octane fuel and you will not be aware of any problems but this is like eating cream cakes everyday,some people will be ill quickly whilst others will go on and and on and the damge is being done on the inside slowly.
So def use a high octane fuel is no other reason then for the power you will lose by not adding it.
You may have to find a Garage which sells the right for you,i have to travel by a mass of garages to the next town just to get the right fuel.So find out which garages supply the right fuel for you and it ay be a right out and again find the pump which has that right fuel on and enjoy,it is worth any ride out to know and feel the car is running true and safe.
