RELIABILITY OF TOYOTA CELICA?

I am lookign at purchasing a toyota celica. it has 109k miles is in great to excellent condition, it has power steering windows and doows. ustom installd alarm system, sun roof, interior if in excellent conditions, no body defects, great brakes and control. also has cd,casset player and radio. The guy wants 6,500 no less should i go with this? its had no major problems and had exausht system redone about 6 months ago. (there has only been two drivers of the car and the econd one who had it longest her father is a mechanic) and brakes a year ago what do yall car people think? Im a 20 yeard old college kid jsut lookign fro a car to last me a few years what you think an are these cars reliable

toyota are very reliable in general.

If you maintain a car, it lasts.

If you don't, it doesn't.

But the car is NOT reliable on it's own. It's physically not possible. A car can't fix itself, maintain itself, or do anything, without the owner.

So to say "toyota is reliable" or any other brand, is an uneducated statement, at best.

there reliable all around,

The only case that i know of that car blowing up was because of overreving it.

With proper care, expect this car to go 300,000 miles. Consumer Reports lists the Celica on the "Best of the Best" list in their annual Buying Guide. The 2010 Guide lists it in the $6000 - $8000 price range. I think 2000 might be the next to last year they made that model which is good for you - it's not the first year of the production run. take care of it and it will take you where you want to go for a long time.
