If the starter was turning the engine over then there was nothing wrong with it. If your engine won't start the best thing that you can do is to get the thing towed to a garage and have a mechanic look at it. The first thing that the mechanic is going to do is to check the computer for engine codes, this will more than likely tell him what the problem is and he will then fix the problem in very little time. The days of the shade tree mechanic are just about over, and unless you are willing to replace parts until you get it right the best solution to car problems is to take it to the garage.
