It's the same as your 2007: The official policy is that the Prius was not designed to pull trailers.
That said a number of Prius group members have been pulling small lightweight trailers on occasion since the 2001 model with no known problems. However:
1. The trailers commonly used are very light, 300 to 500 lbs. total weight.
2. They are not pulled for long distances.
Some points to note if you want to pull a trailer with a Prius:
The hitches made for the Prius are designed for hitch mounted racks so they don't have safety chain eyelets or electrical connections. You'll have to get these fabricated if you tow.
The Prius doesn't have any reinforced areas to attach a trailer hitch to, so you have to be careful when pulling one.
The Prius braking system isn't designed for trailer use so jack-knifing is going to be all to easy.
It's a good idea to get a Scangauge (
http://www.scangauge.com/ ) and watch the radiator and inverter temperatures. Careful monitoring of the temperatures may let you pull a bit more as you'll know when to back off.
