The STAX was a special edition for the summer of ?97 introduced in June. Only 600 were made available as either three door manual or five door manual/automatic. Based on the GX RAV4, this special edition added ?stax? of extra equipment at little extra cost. Air conditioning, alloy wheels, an RDS radio cassette with joystick commander and three unique colour and trim combinations were added.
