hi,















what fuel system your engine is using ? carburetor type or fuel injected ?















lot of factors why engine misbehave at low temperature or during start-up.















you can have the engine ignition timing set to correct specs and set automatic choke to right settings. both E.F.I and naturally aspirated engine uses automatic choke for fast idle during cold starting and engine start-up. Other items must be check too, better get the nearest qualified mechanic or automotive technician that can diagnose/analyze your car trouble and apply the best repair.

it is supposed to be low idle speed at start up. You ar3 just noticing, because it is colder, being Winter. It might be taking longer for the engine to warm up, but it is probably just seasonal, it being Winter. I wouldn't adjust it if it runs good after a few minutes.

I just had one in the shop. replace the coolant temperature sensor
