Default Thinking of buying 2001 toyota 4runner?
it has 157000 km, is a v6 and they are selling for 16,000, the carfaxsays its never been in an accident Its also been owned and driven only on Vancouver Island, so its relatively salt and snow free. Is this worth it?

The Toyota Hilux is a very good car. it sounds like a good buy indeed, they're bulletproof! go for it. 14,000 would be a more realistic price though.

There are a million of them out there. Check out others and their prices. It sounds a little high, but I don't know the conversion. Here in the states I would say 10,000 is a good price. But it is true, they are bulletproof. I bought mine 5 years ago with 113k miles on it, I now have 202k miles and it is still like new with only a few minor repairs.

You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here - carinsurance.yoll.net
