Default Corolla makes noise when it is not running/off.?
Twice in the past few months, I have noticed that my 2005 Toyota Corolla is making noise when it is off. Tonight I walked into the garage and it had been off for close to 5 hours and it was making a noise, near the rear that sounded like it was regenerating. Is this normal? Is the fuel pump going out? (I have already replaced the fuel pump around 3 years ago.) Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

That is odd, I would have it checked it could be a short or something. does it sound like a motor running.. could it be moisture dripping on the muffler but after 5 hours it should be cool enough...















That's an odd one.. nothing like fuel pumps or the like are tunning if the key is off and out.















what exactly does a regernerating sound make...































OH HEY IT'S a transformer.. Just not Optimus Prime... Sorry I don't mean to belittle your issue..















Could yourecord it and email it to me.. Like on your phone..















It may be a vacuum leak or something in the emissions that is passing air... Gosh there's about 100 things it could be

It is a air pump that will run to check your evap system, it usually runs for a couple of minuets about 5 hours after you have shut it off.















Don't worry that is normal. Just running diagnostics to make sure you do not have a leak in your gas tank or your gas cap. That is why if you leave your gas cap loose it will turn on your check engine light.
