I think your research prior to the purchase was "good" but honestly doubt if many people would pay $5,000 simply bec of age and mileage and fact that they're would other comparable used vehicles in a particular price range. Whether buying new or used, I recommend patience and research as well as creating a matrix of choices that reflect all the key factors: like price, mileage, engine conditon, exterior & interior, colors, upgrade options etc and then designating Choices #1, #2 etc that may change as you continue to search for vehicles that meet your criteria. You may not end up buying Choice #1 for some reason like Seller refused to reduce price a little bec of such discrepancy you discovered, but overall as long as you bought Choice #2 or #3...Bottomline you did your homework and it was not a spur of the moment decision.
