How will the recall affect leased vehicles?

Default How will the recall affect leased vehicles?
We have a year and a half left on our 09 camry lease....do you think in light of this recall since they are no longer selling them, that they will terminate our lease? They are not necessarily buying it back, but we sure as heck are not going to buy it at the end of our lease now! I tried calling Toyota today but it said that the call volume was so high that they could not take my call, and they were sorry for the inconvenience!! WTF?

you need to go to the dealer that you leased the car from and find out i feel that it would be covered with all of the other cars that are being recalled

The recall and warranty should cover the car exactly the same. As far as being able to get out of the lease early or something, i dont know about that.















I wouldnt drive the car unless you absolutely have to. Toyota is trying to downplay this problem, making it sound as if its something as simple as floor mats or too large of a gas peddle. Others are saying its related to the "Drive By Wire" system which is incorporated into the throttle. Practice shifting this car into neutral while driving, this way if it does take off on you throwing it in neutral will help you bring it to a stop.

ITS ALL THE MODELS WHY CAUSE ITS A LEASE WOULD MAKE THE CAR ANY DIFFERENT,,

Financed cars is more expensive to insurance cause it requires full coverage. You can compare how much you would pay for full coverage of this car using this tool - carinsurance.yoll.net
