How much to cut extra keys for 2002 Avalon and can a locksmith do it and save me money also?

Default How much to cut extra keys for 2002 Avalon and can a locksmith do it and save me money also?
My Toyota dealers are ridiculous on their prices,..and someone said a locksmith can do it ,..even if it has the "chip" in it!































HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The dealership can cut a key called a vallet key. Its good for unlocking your door, but unable to start your car. If you try calling the dealership again, and just ask to speak with the parts department, they will be able to make one for you relatively cheap. However, I'm not quite sure if a locksmith would be able to do it or not.

Not likely. Locksmith are not able to make the key with the chips.































One day I wanted to make my spare key for the 2004 Lincoln Towncar that I have for my work and which had chips installed in their key, the locksmith were able to make the copy of the key but.....















this key is only to unlock and lock the vehicle. This key is not able to start the car.
