How to tell where my Toyota was made?

Try checking on the sticker on the side of the driver's door, right where you get into the car. It should say down on the bottom. I think mine says Louisville, KY.

What model and year? You can go to Wikipedia, it breaks down cars and gives a list of where they were built at. For instance if you had a Camry it more than likely was built in Kentucky. If you have a Rav4 it probably was built in Japan. It shows it all there.

Or simply call a toyota dealership, they could probably tell you over the phone.

At the dealership the stickers says final Assembly ???? USA, made with foreign and domestic parts.

Engine & Transmission from Japan... etc.

Toyotas are built all over the world, a lot in Asia and in US too, different model - different plant. Check the stickers on the side of the door jam, or under the hood. Some even have a metal plate with info in the engine compartment frame.

Usually Its On the Driver Door Pannel. If you cannot read it or see it take the VIN to your dealer and ask where the car was built. The VIN is on the driver side front windshield.

If the VIN on the door sticker, or the plate on the window starts with "1", it was made in the USA, a "2" means Canada, "3" means Mexico, and a "J" means Japan.
