Default Tire question. 2009 Toyota Camry LE?
Had 40k rental car company miles when bought. Need new ones. Based on what was in stock, one shop says it needs a Sumitoro V-rated tire (had Bridgestone Vrated) cuz speed rating is important to handling and thats what car needs (133/ea) Other shop says BF Goodrich Radial (forgot model but they said it was most popular tire) but with much lower speed rating for 105/ea. Any thoughts?

Buy the cheaper tire. Your car wont go over 105 anyway. I tried with MINE, and the speed limiter kept it at about 104-105MPH, even though I KNOW it was capable of higher speeds.































Also, how often will you even try to go 105 anyway. probably NEVER.































The boys trying to sell you the V tires are trying to rip you off. lots of tire shops are a bunch of lying SOB's































EXAMPLE: I used to own a Toyota T-100 pickup. The clowns at SAM'S CLUB tried to tell me I couldn't put passenger car tires on it. "That thing needs TRUCK tires""Oh YEAH?" says I, "how come it came from the FACTORY with these passenger car tires, and how come I have hauled stuff and pulled trailers for 60K miles with NO problem?"































(they gave me the tires I wanted)

JUST GO WITH BRIDGE STONE POTENZA IF YOU LIKE AMAZING HANDLING TIRE HAD IT LAST YEAR ON 2005 SL65 AMG

well unless you speed get one thats in your price range,i strongly belive in you get what you pay for, some cheap 2 ply tires can be great when you need tites but a tire with 4 ply will feel alot nicer on the road,get your stock size tire,if a sells man says its no big deal if you change a bit they are wrong,it will affect your miles,spedo and abs system,
