Default Is the Toyota Recall a result of a Union shakedown?
Toyota was about to overtake GM in revenue.































I wouldnt be surprised in Obama/Sec or Labor/ALF-CIO called up the Toyota executives and said if Toyota wanted to keep selling cars in the US, they would have to take a billion dollar hit.































Cars have 1000 things that could go wrong and they find a gas pedal that neve had an incident. My new Ford accelerator completely stuck down a hill and I have to turn off the engine and use the emergency brake.

Toyota built a junk pedal that got stuck. Then ignored it for 10+ years.

Well this happens a lot in mass production, Toyota has been recalling there trucks for ages since the 90s because there rusting but no one made a big fuss. Now that Toyota is a huge corporation and if I'm correct the second largest car maker in the world "first one is VW" more people and the media will do what they did to GM 30 years ago. Every single recall will be big thing on the news. The thing is Car companies are all the same. Toyota built the Pontiac vibe and Pontiac is Gm. Now that GM is smaller the its a smaller target for criticism. The problem the Toyota is its becoming too big and will only end up like GM. One may say GM lied about there problems but Toyota did too saying it was the floor mat.

Something fishy for sure!! GM had the side mounted gas tanks on pickups in the 70s and 80s that caught fire in side impacts....Ford has had recalls since there was Ford...remember the Firestone/rollovers??? I think you are right, they are trying to nix the competition...but Toyota aint going nowhere and it may blow up in thier face..what if the people of Japan/Asia decided to boycott Fords, GM and Chrys.????? Hmmmmm.....
