how can i ruin my engine in a non-obvious way that makes it look like it just died of

old age? it has 250k mls? i want to ruin my car to where a mechanic thinks that it was the car being old. i dont want to put sugar in the gas tank or anything like that. i tried putting the car in park while driving several times. it didnt seem to do much to the car besides some noises. i thought of draining the oil in the car but i decided a mechanic would figure it out. i want it to throw a rod or something expensive.

Here's what I did when I was younger.. being stupid.

My friend has a civic, and we drained all of the oil out of it and let it idle... Then we filled it back UP with the dirty oil that we took out.

Problem solved. The mechanic told his dad it just died from old age.

Ps: we only destroyed it because his dad wouldn't let him buy a car that he had money for... because 'You already have a good running vehicle."

Another thing I've seen is to loosen the timing chain, and move the teeth a bit and start the vehicle again..

Piston goes right into the valve and your into super expensive repairs.

most mechanics aren't like coroner's.. they won't go disecting an engine, unless their paid for it one way or another.

Just drive the car around with just 2 quarts of oil, make sure you rev the motor, you'll end up throwing a rod or the chain will stretch to far, either way, damage will occur. once this happens, you need to top off the oil level so it doesn't look like you deliberately ran the car w/out oil.
