2003 Toyota Camry Trunk lid hard to close?

Default 2003 Toyota Camry Trunk lid hard to close?
The lid won't close without slamming. The bottom part of the latch (not the lid part) wobbles in place. Is this latch designed to "float", or is it supposed to be secure in place? There are 2 screws that are quite tight. If it's not supposed to wobble whats the fix? Thank you.

tighten latch or adjust latch































close it slowly and a squat down look at how it hits latch















if screw tight then something broken















either way easy to remove and replace lock or latch or both
