95 Corolla acceleration problem?

Hey I have a 95 Corolla, and Im having acceleration problem, the car would idle just fine, no sounds or nothing, but when you try to accelerate it seems as if some of the power is gone, I thought at fire one of the spark plugs must be malfunctioning because it felt like a spark plug is not working properly, the car would shake a bit. The car runs, but not at its potential it used to be, it just happened after I drove home from school, the car was turned off, and then when I had to go again, maybe after 2 hours the car started having this problem.

Pull your spark plugs and see what they look like. the gaps might be off or they might just be shot. your plug wires might also be going bad. these situations would produce a kinda cheap fix at least

if you have complete misfires and "shaking - yes - check spark plugs. But you might want to do some easier things first - like change the fuel filter and the air cleaner filter. Maybe check the fuel pressure to see if pump is up to spec. after these items if still low on power - pull the plugs - inspect - replace if necessary - and while plugs are out do a compression check. might also be good to do a valve adjustment. also this engine has a rubber toothed valve timing belt. check its condition and timing. it might have slipped a tooth.
