How can you tell between a blue top 4age and a red top?

Default How can you tell between a blue top 4age and a red top?
Apart from obviously one being blue and the other red. i have recently bought a 4age twin cam motor but it has been given a custom paint job so I cant tell from the lettering which one it is. Can you please help me!

Check to see if you can see the TVIS system, TVIS was only available on the blue tops. Plus, you can check the intake ports; I believe the blue top's intake ports were larger than that of the redtop. Take your intake manifold and match it up to the ports, that's if you have it off. More additional info is available at club4ag and other corolla/mr2 sites.
