My 2000 Toyota Corolla is leaking antifreeze?

I started up my 2000 Corolla (103k miles) this morning after not running it since Tuesday. I let it run for a few minutes (to de-ice it) and then pulled out of the driveway. It is leaking antifreeze at a decent rate. My antifreeze is pretty low (needs to be refilled soon) so it's not overfilled or anything. This is the first time I've noticed it.

Just FYI, the car has sat since Tuesday, and before, sat since Friday as we're having severe snowstorms, ice and freezing temps here in Pittsburgh and was not driveable. Other things that may/may not have anything to do with it: car makes odd noises when automatic engine goes from 4th to 5th gear, heater at my feet stopped working.

Thanks for your help. I know very little about cars so any advice is appreciated.

You should probably take your car to the shop or have someone who's good with cars inspect it. You need to find out where the leak is coming from to see if you have a severe problem or not. If your antifreeze is leaking a lot, just take the car to the shop. In the end, you'll probably only have to buy a new part since one has some sort of crack in it.

it could be a hose or the radiator itself. Its not a big deal or to much of an expensive repair but don't drive it around you'll over heat the car and that can be costly. Take it to your mechanic to look @ it

Sounds like something froze and broke. Be careful you do not run the system dry and burn up your engine.

Hopefully it is something easy like a hose.

Freeze plugs in the block can be a real b/tch to get to.

You have to be careful to keep a proper antifreeze mix in that country.

We have to to keep our systems anti freeze correct to make them drive cooler in the desert and we have to buy large radiators to keep them safe and cool.
