Yes, the Lounge seats are removable. The only thing that you can not get are the Lounge seats and 8 passengers together. Sienna 2011 are in stock at some dealers. You can check out yourself.
Just for additional info. My wife & I checked out the 2011 Sienna yesterday. It is a very beautiful new design outside and inside, there are lot of new high tech features added to this new vehicle, such as keyless start engine and review camera...etc. HOWEVER, there are a few issues that we decided not to buy this newly redesign vehicle.
First, the CENTER CONSOLE is fix (not removable) what that mean is that after you got in your car and buckle up your kids for 2nd row or third row, you have will not be able to access to either driver side or passenger side because of blocked fix center console. (unlike the older model it is removable)
Second issue, the 8 seat removable, after you remove this seat, there is a pretty big fix console(that is not flat to the floor) in between 2 captain chairs, this would not be safe for small children to access between 2 row and the 3rd row.
We do not like the idea of after you got in the car and buckle up our kids, then we have to got out of the car to access to the driver or passeger side because of this stupid fix center console.
Lastly, this new redesign 2011 only have total of 3 techer anchors for child carseat. Two in the 2nd row and ONLY ONE in the third row.(should have 2 anchors in 3rd row) what if you want the option to have 2 kids seating in the 3 row instead of 2 row.
We decided to pass on this newly redesign models. But overall, it is a very beautiful model. Lots of high tech gagets.
