Default What are the Hydraulics to hold up the trunk of a 2002 toyota celica called?
Do you know what I'm talking about?















When I open the trunk of my car, the things that are supposed to keep it from falling on my head don't work...















What are those called??

I call them "Mini-Shockabsorbers". I'm sure there is a more techie name.

They are called " hatch or tailgate gas struts " .

Hydraulic struts Struts not sluts.Napa sells them they pop on or off easily about 20$ each.
