Default I have a 2006 Toyota Tacoma (standard). It was running fine till the other day, it's...
...nearly impossible....? to change gears. Is it safe to drive just to the dealership?















and hopefully it's covered cuz I only have 33,587 on it.















I had a friend look at it, he said it wasn't the clutch, that it was a factory defect.....















I baby this truck.

Put it in 2nd gear (assuming you can) and drive it to the dealer in that gear only and you should be fine. 2nd gear should let you both take off from a stop and go up to ~50mph on the way to the dealer if you need to go that fast.

Many Tacomas are in recall for several issues Check with toyota dealer Be prepared to wait as they are dealing with a litany fo problems over so many model and years. Good Luck

The Toyota Tundra truck was cited this week for recall for defective drive-shaft components, and transmission defects are starting to emerge. You should get the Tacoma towed to the dealership ASAP.

you should immediately take your Toyota to the dealer, they should be able to replace it for free.
