It could be good or bad depending upon the mechanical condition of the car. I wouldn't worry about the traction battery, the Classic Prius' batteries appear to be lasting for at least 175,000 miles and there are many with well over 200,000 miles on them. (Replacement is about $2000 + $600 for installation for a new battery, $1000 for a rebuilt one, and $500 for one out of a wreck).
I'd be more concerned with getting the maintenance records from the owner. If he doesn't have them, that's a big strike against the car (regardless of make). In particular you want to know how frequently he changed the transaxle fluid. I recommend every 15,000 miles in the Classic, but even every 30,000 is better than nothing.
I'd also get a Prius mechanic to check it out.
