Default Toyota Corolla leaking yellow liquid?
My 2005 Toyota Corolla is leaking bright yellow liquid at the front (right side) of the car. The yellow malfunction indicator light is on. What could be the problem?

Coolant leak. Although most coolant is green, some newer cars use a yellow coolant

If the leak is slightly oily and yellow or green then it is most likely a coolant system leak.































Look for a small black rubber hose attached to the top of the radiator, follow this hose to the coolant recovery tank. If the coolant recovery tank is empty then you have diagnosed the problem. Have your mechanic pressure test the cooling system to pin point the leak.

If its coolant then someone put diff. coolant then what should be in it. the coolant should be a redish pink color.

Not coolant - your 2005 Toyota uses pink Toyota Super Long Life Coolant. The predecessor to that, Toyota Long Life Coolant, was red.































I don't know what that is - brake fluid is not colored, but it could be power steering fluid. Whatever it is should be checked out right away, though. Modern cars hate losing any fluids.
