Why is my ignition key getting stuck in the lock position when I put my '01 tacoma in park?

Default Why is my ignition key getting stuck in the lock position when I put my '01 tacoma in park?
When I put my 2001 tacoma in park and shut the truck off, the key will not go past the lock position in the ignition, I have to move the shifter in and out of park for the key to release.

put your steering wheel in neutral position, that means your front wheels should be straight forward and steering wheel on horizontal, prior to turn off your engine.
