The 2009 and 2010 Corolas have already been cited for serious steering and brake defects, some involving fatal accidents. But considering the growing evidence (including the Japanese government, see below ) that Toyota conspired to hide safety problems dating back to 1998, it would not be surprising to find that earlier versions of the Corolla and other models will soon be included. A former Toyota lawyer, Dimitrios Biller, has stepped forward and accused Toyota of "conspiracy, hypocrisy and deception" by not only hiding but destroying damaging evidence of the serious defects. This mirrors what the Japanese government found in 2006,when it accused Toyota of "failing for eight years to disclose and act upon reports of a design flaw implicated in loss-of-control incidents."

Interestingly, Toyota has pulled all of its advertising on ABC, in retaliation for the network reporting the truth to America.
