my 92 non-turbo MR2 is an oilholic?
The day i bought my car the previous owner said that i might have to replace the headgasket because it was burning a little oil. My plan is to get a new engine in the car 5 months from now. I go to a national guard training facility to attend weekend drill that is 45 miles away and i come back with almost empty oil. I'm burning blue smoke as well. I got myself a oil change and even switch to a heavier weight oil (5w-30 to 10w-40) I've been relying on snake oil additives like CD2 heavy duty oil sealer, stop smoke etc. some have helped but one week later the billowing smoke of hell would come back. i replace a quart of oil after a good 200 miles. could it be worn rings? valve seals? cracked block or was the previous correct by saying i have a bad head gasket?
im all out of options now, im hoping to ride it out the next 5 months so i can install a used engine with low miles.
