Cars with over 100,000 Kms can be tricky. The car may run great but usually around 100-125,000 the door latches, various trim pieces, etc. can begin to wear out and cause noise. Also, the transmissions can show their age by shifting erratically or getting stuck in a gear and not wanting to leave said gear. It depends also on what kind of mileage it is. If the car has 170K from stop-start traffic the car's lead a rough life, if its highway mileage they usually fare a little better but then sensors, belts, and other electronics can start to go. I've seen Camry's run with well over 200,000 on the odometer but by then nearly everything has been serviced.
