the president of Toyata attended the listening in the American congress. First he had to vow he wouldnot lie...... well I do think the US did too much this time.

if they knew about this and did not take action, there could be criminal charges or punitive negligence suits

people dieing and action taken too late. The media throws everything out of proportion but no I wouldn't give Toyota any slack. Firestone faulty tires, pinto exploding gas tank, firestone and ford were hit hard. Why should Toyota have it easy?

No becuase when a car accelarates and the brake does not work, its a problem. If toyota on the freeway















speeds up and can't stop , if it hits another car it can cause a multi car accident. Plus the snow and ice in the east does not help that at all.

Toyota has been lying and avoiding these problems for almost 30 years now. It was about time that they got caught for using cheap parts. The US didnt over react because of the way that Mr. Toyoda has disrespected US businesses throughout his career. The fact that they still dont know what the problem is is just ridiculous. I hope the US bans the sale of Toyotas here.
