Default what is a V8 or V6 that will fit in a 1987 toyota pick-up 4wd without changing or cheaply...
...changing out drivetr? i want a little more get-up and go and more power whaen i take it off road how can i do this cheap? or find a cheap V8 and not stretch out my budget by replacing everything from axles and differentals to transmissions and shims?

I don't think a stock Toyota drive train will hold up to the v8.Especially if your off roading.

Just mount the Toyota body on the frame of an '87 Ford Bronco, Chevy full size Blazer or Dodge Ramcharger.

You arte looking in the wrong place...www.LCEngineering.com will help you so your current jap motor will run like it should...Even a little 4 banger will run like a hopped up v6....
