Default What is wrong with my 1981 toyota pu? It is soooo difficult to keep it on the road.?
It has 33/1250/15 tires on it, it is 4wd. I have never had a truck do this. Could it be the tires or is it a possibly a steering problem? Would worn out steering knuckle cause this? Thanks for any input!















while going down the road, one little bump, and the truck just veers anywhere it wants too.

Do what? You never really explained what its doing. Is it veering off the road? If so, it would be front end parts and you should take it to a repair shop.

The ball joints or tie rod ends having play would be a likely cause of a wandering truck with over sized tires. Have someone move the steering back and forth slightly while you watch these items. Then jack it up and pull the top of the tire in and out and check for play (ball joint) there also.
