If it's an electric retractable there's a trick to it, but once you figure it out it's easy, the replacement areal is readily available at most parts stores, and not the whole thing just the whip and areal, it's much cheaper that way, and usually come with instructions, if it's not an electric it's pretty self explanatory and no instructions are necessary.
