Is there any evidence that it was just the floormat and not the pedal? Any articles about it?































Is there anyone who had a floormat problem that survived? Any articles about that?

yea i know they're stupid. I read about a mom and a boy who was driving, the mom fainted and the 7 year old boy shifted into neutral.































I'm just trying to get some answers to my questions, is that too hard to ask for?

the deaths so far have been due to bad equipment and bad driving......cannot only blame the car .....i know it sounds harsh but seriously the ppl going 120 without brakes could have done several other things to stop the car....

i agree with the other answer anyone who died as a result of that problem is stupid. "OMG MY GAS IS STUCK ON! i cant do anything to stop!" oh wait except i could shift the car into neutral to slow it down, or if i really need to stop and the undeniable combination of breaks/emergency break and putting the car into neutral fails you could throw it into reverse to stop the car.































people are just so stupid

This week 15 new reports of sudden acceleration were filed with NHTSA in Toyota vehicles that had been recalled and so-called 'fixed' with the piece of metal attached to the floor. Many experts have maintained all along, and still do, that the acceleration defect in Toyotas is electronic, not mechanical. Stay tuned.
