Prius Battery life and miles?

Default Prius Battery life and miles?
I commute 2 hours to work and I am considering a Prius 90% of the miles are on the Highway and I have concern about life of the drive battery and how it relates to the miles. I understand that it should last 10 years and 150k miles. I average about 60k miles per year which equals to a little less than 3 years on 150k warranty battery. Does anyone know if the battery will last longer than 150k miles?

Yes it will, I have worked on Prius with over 200K and original drive Batterie, Here is a article about Prius's with over 300K in a Taxie fleet.

The MTBF (mean time between failures) of the Prius traction battery isn't actually known because there are not enough Prius with 300,000 to 400,000 miles on them yet.































The WARRANTY is for 10 years, 150,000 miles (in CA emission states). Being concerned that the life is 10 years, 150,000 miles is like being concerned that the engine will die at 36,001 miles.































Battery life is just not a concern in the Prius (other than the FUD spread in some quarters).
