Toyota knows what the problems are, and has known for some time.















Back in 2006, the Japanese government accused Toyota of improper business practices because it chose, for eight years, not to disclose and act upon reports of design defects implicated in loss of control incidents.















So the real issue has been Toyota's refusal to acknowledge the problems and fix them properly, with profit and perverse pride the motivating factors. Now it's come back to bite them.

I believe you have that confused with the MLB 2K10 (a video game baseball simulation) Million Dollar Perfect Game Challenge, that offers a million dollars to the first person to pitch a "perfect game" in the video game.

I can't really find an article or any source for this but I did remember hearing such a news on CNN. I doubt that Toyota will do such a thing, it looks like the work of the government and Lahood. They've already done a good job by sinking Toyota, and then making a big deal about Honda (over 1 death) and now attacking Nissan (no death nor accidents, news automatically hit the media). They'll keep GM's recall quiet.
