Default Toyota RAV4 Heater Blowing Cold instead of HOT?
Rav4 - the heater blows very cold air. On hot it blows cold and it is now too cold to drive. Fan and vent controls work fine. Please who has an idea? Please help what can I do

It might be because your car is not warm enough when your blowing hot air.

Sounds like you need your coolant replaced, make sure you get regular maitenance done such as 30k/60k mile service because they will take care of that. The coolant fluid controls your whole heating system and it will make a big difference in temperature once it is changed.

There are several possibilities regarding the problem you are describing,















You do not mention any coolant loss, are you constantly topping up the radiator, any indication of water hose problems/leaks.















Thermostat malfunction, air lock in the system, system pressurised,heater matrix problem, there are so many things that can cause the cold air.















Can you expand on the information given in your question

would check coolant level first. as if low thermostat will not open.
