Default Rubber smell coming from engine (1997 Toyota Camry)?
There is a rubber smell coming from under my hood. Whenever I turn on the air or heat, the smell comes into my car as well.















It's been relatively difficult to get this car to accelerate, but my boyfriend keeps saying it's because of it's age, but I'm highly skeptical since he knows nothing about cars.































I just got my oil changed about a week ago, but was about 300 miles over..















Which belt? There are multiple belts associated with a car...















Ah, I also got this car in August, and it currently has around 118k miles on it.















If I was to purchase this serpentine belt, how many ribs should I get?

A 1997 should have had its serpentine belt replaced before now since it has worn and stretched. It probably has insufficient tension to keep from slipping and burning , especially with the extra load from the AC compressor. Change the belt.
