You won't be able to "flash" that particular ECU, because it's OBD-I and is not an EEPROM. The closest you could get to reprogramming that is to "blow" it, if I remember the terminology right, but that's not easy at all, from the standpoint of a shadetree mechanic. It's not worth it either if you stick with the stock engine, because that ECU has the ideal settings for its engine. The only reason to change the ECU is if you do modifications to the engine, which will require a corresponding change to the fuel delivery.
