Default 2003 Camry. Weird squeaking sound similar to metal friction sound due to lack of lubrication?
2003 Camry. Weird squeaking sound similar to metal friction sound due to lack of lubrication while appying( pressing and releasing) the brake pedal. The sound is heard even in park and engine turned off. No sound while impressing the brake pedal with the hand brake pulled up.Please help. Thanks

The hardware on your back brake system needs replaced. The reason you don't hear it when the hand brake is applied is because the brakes are already applied with the hand brake and the pedal is not moving them. Thanks for the excellent description. Hope I have been helpful.
