I'm personally unimpressed with the Supra's of any year. For the person before me, there was only ever 1 generation of twin turbo supra in the US, the JZA80, AKA MKIV aka 4th gen, aka 93-98. The engine is their claim to fame, however like any turbo engine, especially one designed in the early 90s, they aren't going to be the most reliable engine, and if you want to increase the power, they are pretty peaky engines. That is, they don't make jack for power until astronomical engine speeds, sometimes jumping as much as 400-500hp in a 1000rpm range for the bigger powered cars. Also, those cars are getting older, and the heat from the turbos for all those years is going to make them a maintenance nightmare, because vacuum and rubber lines in general are going to be deteriorated. If you can get one in good shape with low miles I guess it's an OK car, I'm just not a fan of it. Short on low RPM power, heavy (3700lbs) with barely 300hp, just not a fan of the car.
