Don't know what to say, because it is always a bad idea to buy new.
Once you have a car, you should stick with it as long as possible.
Where you loose the most money is with new cars.
Never buy a new car if you can help it.
The Yaris is a good car and saves lots of money.
The Highlander a very big, heavy, expensive, poor mileage, and I think ugly car.
But if you need something like that, then that would be a different story.
But then why did you buy the Yaris?
So I really don't know what to say, because there seem to be contradictions in past history.
But in general, you lost the most money the second you left the lot in the Yaris.
Every day you keep it, you make some of that back, so the longer you can keep it the better.
