I have a weird electrical problem with my '93 Toyota Corolla.?
I bought a new battery about a week ago. The car ran normally for that whole week until today. I started it normally and drove a few miles to the store normally. I turned it off for about 5 minutes. On the way back it struggled to start but did, about half a mile later my headlights started fading and the engine started sputtering. I turned off the lights and turned on my emergency flashers and it was again normal for about another half mile. It started fading again and I turned off the flashers, it again ran normally. I barely made it home and it croaked. The starter just clicked rapidly and it wouldn't turn over.
The connections to the battery terminals are tight and the battery appears to be fully charged. It makes a weird grinding sound whenever I turn on anything electrical.
something is clearly wrong, and you need to take the car to the shop, whatever this problem is, the car is not safe to drive, so take it to your mechanic, let him fix the problem, and get your car back. good luck
